General Information For Villas

Access to WIFI is included. Upon your arrival you will be provided with credentials for accessing our network.

We recommend downloading “WhatsApp” and using it during your stay. You can reach our manager, security guard, etc. through texts or calls.

A security guard is stationed for the duration of your stay. Upon your arrival you will receive the contact information for the dedicated security guards in case of an emergency.

Your casita is cleaned and sanitized upon arrival. It is your responsibility to keep it clean during your stay. If you are staying more than one week, we will clean it, wash the sheets and towels, etc. If you wish to have the casita cleaned more frequently, there will be a $10.00 charge per cleaning day. Tipping for good service will be appreciated. 

We kindly ask you to not smoke in the casita. In case of cigarette odor, $100 US will be charged at check out. 

- Please do not sit on chairs or sofas with wet clothes or after applying sun protection cream.

- Repairs or substitution of damaged equipment will be invoiced, and the amount retained from your security deposit.

- If you need anything such as lightbulbs or extra towels, you can contact one of our representatives

Tap water is not drinkable. The casita is supplied with a water cooler and drinking water. Upon your arrival you will be provided with a contact who can provide you with additional water should you run out. Please use this water for ice trays, coffee maker, cooking, etc. You may also exchange them at any supermarket (+/-50 pesos). Janet’s Supermarket up the street sells bags of ice as well. 

Power supply in the Dominican Republic is 110 Volt (same as the U.S.)

Please make sure windows and doors are closed when using the air conditioning system. If you leave the casita for more than 2 hours, please turn off all air conditioning and lighting/fans. 

The casitas are supplied with Smart TVs, Netflix, Amazon TV, etc. are available on all of our TVs while using your own subscription.

A washer and dryer are located in the office building, next to the manager’s office. Please follow the instructions for use.

Check in time is 3:00 pm. Please inform us of arrival time and someone will meet you at to provide you with the key to your casita.

Check out time is at 11.00 AM (for late check out, please ask us in advance). Please inform us of your time of departure and someone will meet you to collect the keys or will instruct you where to leave them. We may organize your transfer to the airport for you should you request it.

• Car Rentals -  There are several rental companies in Cabarete where you can lease a car for approximately $50USD/day. Make sure that everything is functioning well in the car. We work with few car rentals in Cabarete, if you wish we may help you to reserve a car and the agent could bring it to your residence.  However, we do not offer parking, so you will have to park on the main road. 
• Taxi - if you’re not ready to drive yourself, private taxis are another option. You will find them at the taxi stations in the center of town. For special trip or if the price is not posted, ask the fare to the driver before beginning your trip. Or you can contact us and we will organize it for you through our drivers.
• Motoconchos - Is one of the best options for getting around Cabarete (between 25-50 pesos during the day and 50-100 pesos at night). As the taxi, always confirm the price before getting on. For safety, only use registered Motoconchos with license ID.  Be careful getting on and off the motoconchos as there is a hot pipe. The driver will advise.
•  Guagua - For longer distance guaguas are passenger vans that travel between cities. Similar to Motoconchos, they will pick you up anywhere along the road.
•  Bus line:  To travel between major cities, modern bus lines like Caribe Tours or Metro offer convenient and comfortable scheduled transportation. Buses leave from Sosua and go to the most important towns in the country. For information about departure times and rate, you can call the 2 major companies - Caribe Tours: 80 95 71 38 08 and/or Metro Tours: 809 586 60 62

• Supermercado Janet - 2 minute walk from Sunrise Point Villa (delivery available) - Open Monday – Saturday until 8.00 pm and Sunday until 1.00 p.m
• Super Pola - 10 minutes by car. - Open Monday – Saturday 7:00 am until 10:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
• Supermercado La Rosa - Direction Sosua, just before Esso gas station. - Open Monday – Friday until 10.00 pm and Saturday – Sunday until 9:00 pm
• The Market - Located in the center of Cabarete - Open every day until 8:00 pm
• Playero Sosua - The best stocked - Open every day from 7:30 am until 9:00 pm

You will usually get a better rate if you change in exchange office in the street than in the banks. At the moment, exchange rate lays between 50-54 Dominican Pesos per 1 US Dollar. You will need to present your passport for all bank transactions.
